NDA combination emerging right now is the best thing to happen in Indian history: TDP MP
Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 5 (ANI): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and MP from Bapatla Lok Sabha constituency Krishna Prasad said on Wednesday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) combination emerging right now is the best thing to happen in Indian history.
“My canvassing for 45 days in the constituency opened my eyes and I learned a lot. There is still so much service that needs to be done for people, particularly in the area of skill development and employment. I think our country is in the best moment right now. NDA combination that is emerging right now is the best thing that happened in Indian history. I am happy to be a part of it.”
Krishna Prasad also said modern Hyderabad was the brainchild of TDP chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and recalled his experience while working for the infrastructural development of the city.
“My happiest experience during bureaucracy was when I was in Infrastructure cooperation and I contributed to the development of Hyderabad city what you see now as high-tech city, financial district, outer ring road, airport and also did Gangavaram port and Krishnapatnam port.”
“And all this happened because of the vision of Nara Chandrababu Naidu who was that time chief minister in 1999 and 2004. And now five lakh software engineers work there and 25 lakh people got indirect employment,” he added.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday also extended support to the BJP and affirmed that he is “a part of NDA”.
“I have seen so many political changes in the country. I am in NDA. I am going to the NDA meeting. If there is anything else, we will report to you,” Naidu said, extending his support to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) while addressing a Press conference in Vijaywada.
Thanking the people of Andhra Pradesh for giving support to the TDP and the NDA, Naidu said, “I haven’t seen such a historical election. In this election people from the USA spending Rs 5 lakh came and voted. Even the labourers working in other states have come to vote. These elections will be written with golden words”.
“I urge all the people that they should constantly give us feedback during our governance. It will help us to give good governance. We will review everything after going to Delhi and coming back,” he added.
The NDA comprising Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party (JSP) along with the BJP won in Andhra Pradesh. As per the Election Commission data, NDA registered a massive victory winning 164 out of the 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh assembly.
TDP won 135 seats, the Jana Sena party won 21 seats, while the BJP won 8 seats in assembly elections. The ruling YSRCP won just 11 seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has secured a third term, but the BJP is relying on the support of other parties in his coalition – JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar and TDP’s chief Chandrababu Naidu, falling 32 seats short of the 272 majority mark.
