NISR Leh organises two-day workshop-cum-training program in Zanskar

LEH, October 19: The National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh organised a two-day workshop cum training program on October 17 and 18 at Zanskar Health Care Clinic and  Sowa Rigpa Institute, Padum Zanskar for Sowa Rigpa Practitioners of Kargil District under Tribal Health Care programme funded by Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India.

A total of 50 Amchi healers have participated in the event.

Renowned Amchi, Venerable Ugren Rinpoche was the chief guest for the inaugural function.

Associated Professor NISR Leh, Dr. Nawang Tangyas welcomed the chief guest and participants and briefed about the ongoing project of National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in Zanskar Kargil from last five years.

Besides, Venerable Urgen Rinpoche gave spiritual teachings of Sowa-Rigpa to the participants. He appreciated the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa and Zanskar Health Care Clinic for the sincere efforts made for the preservation and promotion of Sowa Rigpa system of medicine in Zanskar.
