NMBA: Anti Drug Addiction programs held across Bandipora
BANDIPORA, May 10: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad, awareness programs, Quiz Competitions and Rallies on Drug Demand Reduction were organised today at BHSS Bandipora, HSS Sumbal, HSS Gadakhud, HS Onagam, HS Panar and HS Garoora.
The programs were attended by the huge gathering of students, staff members of the institutions along with SMDC members, PRI members and the representatives of the Medical Department.
Students on the occasion delivered lectures regarding the ill effects of Drug Addiction. Staff members also gave an in-depth briefing about the menace of drug addiction around our localities and other parts of Kashmir valley. The representatives of the Medical department also raised awareness among the students regarding the demerits of drugs and its impact on the society.
During the programme, PRI members also discussed the bad effects of drug addiction in the society and said that the message of ‘Say No to Drugs’ should spread in the nook and corners of the society.
It was given out that the main aim of such programmes is to spread awareness amongst the student community to take necessary steps for curbing the drug menace.
