NMBA: DCOs conduct inspections of Medical establishments in Kulgam

KULGAM, May 12: Under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign, the Drug Control Authority Kulgam today conducted inspections of medical establishments in the hotspot areas of the district.

15 inspections of medical sale establishments at Kund, Ruzloo, Kanchloo, Waltengoo, Nowbugh, Y.K pora, Qazigund, Nageenpora were conducted by the constituted team of Drug Control Officers (DCOs).

Operations of 04 medical shops were disallowed on spot for violation of different conditions of licenses and other rules.

Chemists in the district were impressed upon to maintain the records of all the scheduled H1 medicines properly as per the prescribed norms and were asked to keep proper vigil on every suspicious person. They were asked to share responsibility of one and all to contribute in eradication of drug menace.

 Assistant Drug Controller Kulgam emphasised upon all chemists particularly of the far flung areas who still have not installed CCTV cameras to adhere to the directive within weeks time. Failure may invite strict action as per rules.
