Notorious bovine smuggler booked under PSA by Jammu police
In a significant development aimed at curbing bovine smuggling, the Jhajjar Kotli police station apprehended a notorious cattle smuggler, Talib Hussain, from the Qazigund area with the help of Kulgam Police. Hussain, son of Bashir Ahmed and resident of Janakha village in Dansal tehsil, Jammu district, was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).

This marks the fourth instance of PSA being slapped against bovine smugglers in the Nagrota sub-division within the last two months, highlighting the Jammu Police’s commitment to maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
According to reports, Hussain was a repeat offender with multiple FIRs registered against him for cattle smuggling across police stations in Bagh-e-Bahu, Channi, Ramban, and Jhajjar Kotli.
Police Station Jhajjar Kotli’s PSI Ishfaq Ahmed executed the warrant for Hussain’s arrest.
