Notorious criminal booked under PSA in Rajouri

RAJOURI, 28 July 2023: Continuing its efforts to take stern action against notorious criminals and to take adequate preventive measures against their unlawful activities, Rajouri police has booked another notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) which is the third such detention in this week.

The notorious criminal namely Amjad Mehmood son of Mohd Zafar resident of Bada Kana, Tehsil Thanamandi, Rajouri has been booked under Public Safety Act for repeated criminal activities which are highly prejudicial and detrimental to the maintenance of public order.

The accused has not changed his behaviour inspite of lodging multiple FIRs against him and arrests by Police a number of times.

He is hell-bent on carrying out burglaries, thefts and extortion in different parts of J&K and such activities are likely to disturb public order, particularly in Rajouri District.
