Notorious criminal detained under PSA in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, 6 April 2024: District Police Udhampur has booked and detained a notorious criminal under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA) for his criminal activities on the detention orders issued by the District Magistrate Udhampur.

The accused namely Hamraj Singh @Tiger S/O Surinder Singh R/O W.No 05, H.No 144 Barrian Udhampur booked for his criminal activities in the area for which a number of cases had been registered against him in Police Station Udhampur.

The accused was notorious criminal and are continuously involved in a number of criminal activities.

He has become a threat to the peaceful atmosphere and also posing great threat to the public peace and tranquility thereby forcing authorities to detain him under J&K Public Safety Act, 1978.

On the directions of Joginder Singh-JKPS Senior Superintendent of Police Udhampur, his dossier for PSA was framed and sent for necessary detention orders.

After getting necessary detention orders Hamraj Singh was arrested by the team of Police Station Udhampur led by Insp Raghubir Singh and DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Prehladh Kumar under supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Baljit Singh.
