Now, pay Tata AIA Life premium via WA, UPI

Mumbai, Jun 28 (PTI) Tata AIA Life Insurance has introduced a feature to allow customers to pay their premium via WhatsApp and Unified Payment Interface or UPI.

The company in a statement on Wednesday claimed that this is an industry-first feature.

While there are close to 500 million WhatsApp users in the country there are over 300 million UPI users today.

Sanjay Arora, executive vice-president & head of operations, said, “At Tata AIA, the feature has been developed in-house in collaboration with WhatsApp and PayU.”

Over the years, the company has enabled renewal premium collections via multiple digital modes and enhanced its language capability to five languages English, Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati and Bengali.
