Nowgam police’s swift action: 5 thieves apprehended, stolen goods seized

In a major breakthrough, the Nowgam Police successfully apprehended five notorious thieves linked to multiple cases of theft and burglary in the region.

The arrests were made during the investigation of three First Information Reports (FIRs) registered at Police Station Nowgam under the numbers 111/2023, 112/2023, and 114/2023. The arrested culprits are Imran Ahmed Khan from Pattan, Mohd Sadiq Reshi from Sopore, Sahil Sarwar Dar from Pattan, Yasir Ahmad Sofi from Shalteng, and Shahid Shafi Dar from Narbal.

The stolen property has been successfully recovered and is currently being meticulously examined and documented to ensure its rightful return to the victims.

As the investigation continues, the authorities are hopeful that this significant breakthrough will serve as a deterrent to potential criminals and bring relief to the victims of these brazen thefts and burglaries. Further legal action is underway.
