Nowshera Forest Division celebrates J&K UT Formation Day with enthusiasm
RAJOURI, October 31: In a fervent celebration of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory formation day, the Nowshera Forest Division organized a series of impactful events at the Sunderbani Forest Range.
Dr. Rakesh Verma, Range Officer Sunderbani, along with the Block Officers Rangeel Singh and Rajinder Dev Sharma, led the charge in conducting these programs with the active participation of dedicated staff members. The day commenced with a thought-provoking debate competition held at Govt Higher Secondary School Hathal, providing a platform for insightful discussions on environmental conservation, sustainable forestry, and the importance of protecting our natural heritage .Following the debate, a dedicated cleanliness drive took place here at Brevi, highlighting the commitment of the Nowshera Forest Division to maintaining the pristine beauty of the Sunderbani Forest Range. Volunteers and staff members worked tirelessly to remove litter and maintain the natural surroundings.
The festivities culminated with a vibrant and ecologically-conscious ‘Green March’ through the lush green landscapes of Sunderbani. It was conducted in collaboration with Municipal Corporation Sunderbani. Participants, including local communities, forest officials, and volunteers, walked in unity to spread awareness about the significance of afforestation and safeguarding our fragile ecosystems.
