Nowshera Forest Division conducts forest fire mock drill in Sunderbani Forest Range
RAJOURI, March 11: Sunderbani Forest Range of Nowshera Forest Division today conducted a mock drill for forest fires at Chanesargala.
During the drill, all the components of forest fires were discussed in threadbare manner. Ishan Raina Fgd started the drill with his welcome address. Control burning as done in co. 38/D of Dahramsaal block.
During mock drill the staff was trained on various first aid processes like bandaging in case of fractures, snake bite, wild animal bite, preparation of emergency structure using local material, use of various fire equipments. Neelima Shah Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera said that mock drill are to be conducted to sensitize the front line staff about the equipments, procedures, first aid , prevention and control forest fires. She said that the temperature is souring day by day and the staff need to be alert.
Rakesh verma Range Forest Officer discussed historical forest fire points and asked the staff to be study the historical points in detail and submit a detailed report about these points so that an early strategy is to be prepared for prevention and control of forest fires on these points. Ved Parkash BO Devak explained in detail his experience on prevention and control of forest fires. Rangeel Singh BO Sunderbani thrown light on use of leaf blower and walkie talkie in forest fires. Rajinder Dev Sharma BO Dharamsal demonstrated first aid , CPR and emergency structure using local material in detail. Arun Kumar Fgd presented vote of thanks.
The whole event was conducted under the direct supervision of Vivek Verma Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri and Neelima Shah Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera.
