NSF flays misuse of student’s money by JU Admn

Jammu:25-06-24: National Secular Forum today condemned Jammu University revealing that student’s money is being misused by the University of Jammu with the administration busy enjoying comforts by using this money.

Mr Roshan Sharma, District President of National Secular Form said in the press conference that the fees are being increased by 10% every year but there has been no improvement in the facilities for the students. There is not even a water cooler facilities available when the temperature is touching the sky in this sweltering heat.

He said that the administration of Jammu University should install at least 10 Water Coolers at different spots in the premises of University so that students and employees can quench their thirst benefit in this hottest summer.

He further said that Jammu University administration is not going to  double benchs by accepting the decision of the First Bench in order to give benefit to some of its own blue eyed people, but the cases of those who are not blue eyed, JU Administration shall be taking their cases to the double bench.

He further said that even in the contractual appointments, there is deep nexus between the teaching wing and some departments because teachers are not given where they are needed, teachers are given where they are not, there is no teaching wing workload seen.

District president also said that new vehicles are being bought with the students’ money but no facilities are being provided to the students. There is only one Center Library in the University for the Student to study. No one is thinking in the JU administration to construct new building for facility of students

The District President further said that no rules are being followed for appointments and promotions in the University.

He has appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to constitute a high level inquiry to find out what is going on in the university.
