NSS Campus Units in Collaboration with  Dept of Computer Science &IT organizes Induction Cum Orientation Programme

JU felicitates National Youth Awardees

JAMMU, February 23- NSS Campus Units in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science & IT organized an Induction cum Orientation Programme for Newly enrolled NSS volunteers of Campus Unit II. Prof. Rajni Kant, Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu and Dean, Faculty of Science was the Chief Guest of the function. In his address, he through his personal life experiences motivated the students to social work with zeal and enthusiasm for the welfare of the society and nation which will help in their overall personality development also.

Prof. Pawanesh Kr. Abrol, HOD, Computer Science & IT, presided over the function and shared his valuable experience and insights with suitable examples. Prof. Jasbir Singh, HOD, Department of Philosophy,  University of Jammu spoke on personality development and self-confidence tools for stress management in modern life. Prof. Vinod Sharma, Director, Ram Nagar Campus delivered the lecture on placement and he advised that teamwork is the best way to achieve requisite targets.

Earlier, Prof. Savita Nayyar convener NSS, Campus unit, University of Jammu delivered a formal welcome address. Former NSS Volunteers and  Alumni of the University of Jammu namely Mr.  Vikas Pandita,  Dept of Computer Sciences & Ms. Sristhi Koul, Dept of Chemistry were also facilitated for achieving NSS  National Award. Mr. Sajal Mahajan, a Former  NSS Volunteer of the Department of Mathematics, Mr Ashwani Kumar & Mr. Pankaj Singh from the Department of Library & Information Science, University of  Jammu were also facilitated by NSS Campus Unit II for their achievements of VC Award and outstanding contribution towards NSS. The event ended with cultural performances by the NSS volunteers.

 A formal Vote of Thanks was presented by Dr. Meghna Dhar, the Event coordinator & NSS P.O Unit II, Jammu University.
