NSS SMVDU Volunteers participated in the National Adventure Camp at Pongdam (Kangra)
NSS SMVDU, Katra volunteers participated in 10 Day National Adventure camp at Pong
Dam (Kangra). The camp was organized by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Kangra.
The camp was funded by the Regional Directorate, NSS New Delhi. A total of 45 participants, including 04 from SMVDU, embarked on water activities .The camp focused on enhancing Swimming skills, covering aspects like, Boating, Rafting, Sailing, Swimming, kayaking and river crossing. Beyond physical challenges, the camp aimed to develop social awareness and leadership skills. The success of the event was credited to ABVIMAS’ expertise and the volunteers’ enthusiasm, showcasing teamwork and camaraderie.
The NSS volunteers that participated in the camp were Chetan Gupta, Priyanka Sharma, Shatakshi Tewari, Astabhujanath Pandey. NSS coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar and co-coordinator Dr. Kamaldeep congratulated the volunteers for successfully completing the National camp. Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Pragti Kumar appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers and congratulated them for bringing laurels to the University.
