NSS wing of EJM College Leh organises blood donation camp

LEH, June 14: The NSS Wing of EJM College Leh in collaboration with NHPC Leh, and SNM Hospital, Leh organised a blood donation camp at EJM College Leh on the occasion of ‘World Blood Donor Day’.

The slogan for this year’s Blood Donor’s Campaign is ‘Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often’.

Head and General Manager of NHPC, Jitendra Kumar, chief guest inaugurated the event.

Dr Yangchan Dolma, SNM Hospital Leh raised awareness among the college students about the importance of blood donation.

The participants also took a pledge to build awareness about blood donation in society. Volunteers comprising faculty, college students, and NHPC officials, donated their blood to mark the occasion of World Blood Donor’s Day.

Principal, EJM College Leh, Dr. Sameena Iqbal; President, Blood Donors Association Leh, Phuntsog Angchok; NHPC officials; Medical staff from SNM Hospital;  NSS student volunteers, faculty, and students of  College Leh also attended the program.
