Nukkad natak on “save environment, save life under mission life held at GCW Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MAY 31: In continuation with the ongoing activities under Mission Life for environment and World Environment Day, 2023 under the presidency of G20 and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,SAP Club,Eco Club and NSS unit of GCW Udhampur under the able guidance of Prof. Anjali Mahajan, Principal of the college and convenorship of Dr. Kewal Kumar, Prof. Tania Mahajan and Prof Sumita Rao respectively in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, organized a Nukkad Natak in the campus on the theme “Save Environment, Save Life”.
The objective of organizing this Nukkad Natak was to spread awareness among the students about the relevance of different environmental issues, like potable water, clean water bodies ,no plastic usage, afforestation etc.The Natak also aimed at encouraging the students to contribute their bit in the eradication of the menace of pollution from our environment.
About 120 students witnessed the Nukkad Natak with great enthusiasm.
The chief guest appreciated the initiative taken by the organisers and volunteers. She also stated that such media of spreading message through Nukkad Nataks is very impressive and has long lasting impact.
Ashni Devi, HOD Botany, Yash Paul, HOD History, Yash Kumar, Assistant Prof. of Music and Rajinder Singh HOD Punjabi, were among the others who graced the event with their benign presence.
