Nukkad Natak, Voter Pledge held in Jakhbar as Part of SVEEP Initiative

KATHUA, SEPTEMBER 11: As part of ongoing efforts under the SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation) programme, a vibrant Nukkad Natak and voter pledge-taking event was hosted today in Jakhbar and its surrounding areas.

The event was held under the guidance of AC Nodal Officer SVEEP Jatinder Sethi.

The key highlight of the programme was the powerful street play performed by local artists.

With compelling performances and a clear message, the play captured the attention of the audience, conveying the crucial role of each vote in strengthening democracy. Through this engaging medium, the community was sensitized to the importance of informed voting, overcoming voter apathy, and ensuring robust participation in the electoral process.

BDO Nagri Parole Javed Iqbal was the Chief Guest at the event. In his address, he emphasized the duty of every eligible voter, stating, “Voting is not just a right; it’s a responsibility that upholds the pillars of democracy.”

Following the street play, a voter pledge was administered by Ravinder Singh, where the attendees vowed to cast their votes conscientiously. This pledge reinforced the event’s key message: that voting with full awareness and responsibility is vital to preserving the democratic process. ‎
