Odisha Govt has failed to implement PMAY-G: Union Education Dharmendra Pradhan
Cuttack (Odisha) [India], October 14 (ANI): Union Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday targeted the Odisha Government over the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) to the beneficiaries in the state.
Pradhan alleged that the Modi government has allocated over 32 lakh houses for the people of Odisha. However, the Odisha government has failed to implement it in the state.
Union Education Dharmendra Pradhan said, “32 lakh houses have been given in Odisha in the last 9.5 years. Corruption, killing the rights of the poor has become the policy of the Odisha government… This government is not for the welfare of the people.”
Dharmendra Pradhan alleged that at present work order had been given for 10 lakh homes but due to corruption, the work was stalled.
He said, “Till March 31, 2024 if the PMAY-G is to be implemented then every day 9000 houses should be built but at present, only 32 houses per day are being built. This shows the efficiency of the state government. PM Modi had allotted 18 lakh crore but where is the money going? Atrocities against women are rising. There are court cases against half a dozen ministers and two dozen MLAs of the ruling government in the state. It this development?”
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also participated in the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign and collected sacred soil at Mansinghpur block under the Puri parliamentary constituency in Odisha.
