Official Website of Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua (J&K) Launched 

Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir – August 26, 2023 – In a momentous step toward enhancing agricultural services and promoting transparency, the Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Kathua, Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta, is delighted to announce the official launch of the CAO Kathua website. This milestone was marked by a grand ceremony graced by DDC Vice Chairman Sh. Raghunandan Singh (District Kathua) and DDC Nagri Sh. Sandeep Majotra 

in presence large gathering of officers and officials of the Agriculture Department from Kathua District.

The newly launched website, accessible at http://www.caokathua.com is a significant advancement in the dissemination of agricultural information and services in the Kathua district of Jammu & Kashmir. It aims to bridge the gap between the agricultural administration and the farming community by providing easy access to vital resources and knowledge.

Sh. Raghunandan Singh, Vice Chairman, DDC Kathua, lauded the relentless efforts of the Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Kathua in making information accessible to farming community and general public with the launch of the website thereby empowering farming community as users can stay informed about the latest developments in the agriculture sector through news articles and updates on the website.

Er. Sandeep Majotra, DDC- Nagri expressed his enthusiasm about the website’s launch, stating,               The CAO Kathua website is a step in the right direction towards digital governance and inclusivity in our region. It will help our farmers to access critical information and services easily, thereby improving their livelihood. This website is a testament to our commitment to modernize agriculture in Kathua and empower our farmers with knowledge and resources. It will undoubtedly prove to be a valuable tool for the agricultural community.” 

CAO Kathua Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta shared his vision for the website, saying, “Our goal is to make agriculture more sustainable, profitable, and accessible. This website is a significant step toward achieving that goal, and we are excited about the positive impact it will have on our farming community.”

Elaborating the access and links of the website, Sh. Sanjeev Rai Gupta, Chief Agriculture Officer, Kathua said “The website serves as a comprehensive repository of agricultural information, including crop details, farming techniques, and government schemes. Farmers can access expert advice on crop management and best practices. It provides detailed information on government initiatives and schemes available to farmers with an ease of access. Real-time weather information and forecasts are available also to help farmers to plan their agricultural activities effectively.  He also said, “This website also offers online application services for various agricultural schemes and permits, streamlining administrative processes for both farmers and officials. For those farmers, who are willing to sell their produce in market, a dedicated section for market prices and trends enables farmers to make informed decisions about selling their produce.

He also praised the Officers/ officials namely Sh. Pankaj Jasrotia, JAEO, Sh. Amit Gupta, JAEO,              Sh. Rajesh Kumar, AEA from Department of Agriculture Kathua designated for sourcing, creating, maintaining this officials website and making this event of launch of official website a success.
