Funds meant for people’s welfare not utilized effectively under previous regime, says Rattan Lal
JAMMU January 17th : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to addressing the concerns of the youth and ensuring their empowerment.
This was stated by Ajay Sadhotra, senior NC leader and former Minister, during a meeting with newly joined youth at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan in Jammu.
Sadhotra highlighted the increasing unemployment rates in the region and underscored the need for a robust policy framework to generate job opportunities for the youth. He said, “The National Conference government, led by Omar Abdullah, remains committed to creating employment avenues and ensuring sustainable development for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of J&K National Conference, also spoke at the event and expressed concern over the previous administration’s neglect of youth-focused initiatives. He said, “During the past decade, the youth of our region faced immense challenges, and funds meant for their welfare were not utilized effectively. The NC is committed to ensuring that these resources reach those who need them the most.” He further criticized the past governance for its failure to utilize funds from central-sponsored schemes, which led to their lapsing in the previous years. Youth were deprived of crucial government schemes and opportunities. Under the leadership of Omar Abdullah, the NC government is determined to reverse this trend and bring tangible benefits to our youth,” Gupta emphasized
Rattan Lal Gupta also lauded the leadership of Jatinder Singh Lucky and Gurmeet Singh for their relentless efforts in motivating youth to join the National Conference.
