On Vijay Diwas, Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian Pays Homage to Martyrs of Kargil War
POONCH, July 26: In a solemn and patriotic event, Model Higher Secondary School Sawjian, Poonch observed the 24th Anniversary of the Kargil War by paying homage to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. The event took place in the school premises and saw active participation from students, staff, and distinguished guests from the local community.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of National Anthem and audience observed two minutes silence honoring the supreme sacrifice of the soldiers who fought valiantly during the Kargil conflict. This poignant moment was a reminder of the selfless dedication and bravery exhibited by our armed forces.
During the event, the school Principal Anwar Khan, Lecturers, teachers, and students gathered to pay their respects and remember the sacrifices made by our soldiers. Several speakers addressed the audience, highlighting the importance of commemorating the Kargil War’s heroes and the significance of instilling patriotism and national pride in the hearts of the younger generation.
The students actively participated in various activities organized as a part of the event, including patriotic songs, recitations of poems expressing gratitude to the soldiers. Anwar Khan Principal said these activities are aimed to instill in the students a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by our soldiers and to foster a sense of responsibility towards the nation.
