One-day Awareness/ Registration workshop on setting up Micro Food Processing Enterprises held at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, JANUARY 30: The Fisheries department Anantnag today organized a one day awareness programme on centrally sponsored ‘PM-Formalization of Micro food Processing Entrepreneur’ (PMFME) scheme at   Block Dev. Office Dachanipora Anantnag.

The awareness cum registration workshop organized under the chairmanship of District Nodal Officer Anantnag PMFME (ODOP) scheme was attended by representatives of various line departments viz. Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep, DIC, Bank Manager Srigufwara   and a huge gathering of Shopkeepers and locals of Block Srigufwara   area.

At the outset, the District Nodal Officer PMFME (ODOP) scheme presented the overall scenario and prospects of the Micro Food Processing sector in the UT. He urged youth to set up their individual Micro food processing enterprises and avail the benefit of credit linked subsidy available under the scheme. He requested the participants to get registered in the application submission process on spot or visit the PMFME Home Page.

The gathering was also addressed by BDO Dachanipora who also urged the youth to set up their own Employment Generating Units under the scheme and go for value addition.

The resource persons of various line departments deliberated upon the various schemes of their departments that can be included under the PMFME Scheme.

The District Nodal Officer PMFME (ODOP) scheme Anantnag further requested the interested youth who desire to avail the benefit under the scheme to contact the District Resource Person for getting assistance in the application submission process, support in DPR preparation, getting a bank loan etc.

The Officers present in the camp laid  emphasis on Fish Processing, Bakery products, Canning of any food product, pickle making, vegetable and fruit processing etc.

A separate stall for on spot registration was set at the camp in which  30 cases were registered on spot, which after further procedure/ process shall be sent  to concerned Bank branches after DLC .
