One day Farmers Awareness camp on PMFME held in Batote
RAMBAN, March 9: A one day Farmers’ awareness camp under PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PM FME) was today organized to educate the farmers and youth of the area regarding benefits of PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME-ODOP) Scheme at Thopal in Batote.
Pertinently, the PM FME is aimed at establishing Micro Food Processing Industries at Micro/Village level through individuals, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Cooperatives and Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs)
Chairman Block Development Council Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar was the chief guest whereas BDO, Batote Sandeep Kumar, Sarpanch, Thopal, Sutish Kumar, other PRIs, officers of JK Bank, representatives from Agriculture and Horticulture also participated in the camp besides large number of youth participated.
Area Marketing Officer Ramban Suni Bakshi, and AGMO Batote, Raju Zutshi gave a detailed awareness regarding available processing units under PMFME.
During the camp, Information about the PMFME scheme for agriculture processing and subsidy on packaging material was disseminated among the participants. Participants showed interest in millet processing, apple processing and pickle processing.
It was impressed upon females and unemployed youth to come forward and avail benefits of PMFME scheme, which is a flagship programme of MOFPI Government of India.
