One-Day Induction-Level Training on Adolescence Education Programme held at Doda
DODA, DECEMBER 15: In a collaborative effort of the Chief Education Office Doda, Directorate of School Education Jammu, and J&K AIDS Control Society, the District Doda recently hosted a comprehensive training program on Adolescence Education Programme. This event, held the other day, marked a significant initiative aiming to provide one-day induction-level training to 100 School Nodal Officers from 50 Government High/Higher Secondary Schools of the district.
Chief Education Officer Purshotam Gouria, inaugurated the program in the Conference Hall of the Chief Education Office Doda. The event witnessed the presence of DEPO Dr. Anis Ahmed; Dr. Shaveta Bhagat (HOD GMC Doda); Dr. Saima Hafiz (Clinical Psychologist GMC Doda) and Simi Thakur (I/C Drug De-addiction Center at DPL Doda). The collaboration also included the Department of Health and Medical Education J&K.
Throughout the training, participants were sensitized to various adolescence issues affecting children. Topics covered included the intricate process of growing up, socio-cultural influences, evolving perceptions about relationships with parents, peer groups, and the opposite sex.
Additionally, life skills exploration, gender roles, mental health, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS prevention were discussed.
The program, conducted under the expert guidance of Chief Education Officer Doda, received close supervision from the District Education Planning Officer Doda. Ajit Singh served as the Nodal Officer, and Majid Anjum assumed the role of Coordinator for the successful execution of the program, which concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the guest speakers from the Health and Medical Education Department and Education Department by the District Education Planning Officer Doda.
