One day training program on ‘implementation study of adult BCG vaccination’ held at Doda
DODA, SEPTEMBER 28: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today inaugurated a one-day training program on ‘implementation study of adult BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guerin) vaccination’ at Shivalik Guest House here.
The program, organised by district Administration Doda, was held with an aim to sensitise the healthcare professionals about the importance of BCG vaccination in combating tuberculosis disease.
The training program was attended by Chief Medical Officer, District Immunization Office, healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics from various health institutions across the district.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the work of health department in combating the Tuberculosis disease in the district. He stressed on the newly BCG Adult Vaccination implementation study effectively in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, CMO Doda gave a detailed presentation on the BCG vaccination implementation, benefits, efficacy, study methodology, data collection and monitoring for adults in the district.
During the program, the participants gained hands-on experience and clarity on the BCG implementation study objectives, for effective execution in the district. The program also aims to strengthen tuberculosis prevention efforts in Doda, aligning with the national health mission’s goals.
