One day VPD Surveillance workshop held at Batote

RAMBAN, MAY 20: A one day district level Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) Surveillance Workshop under National Programme for Elimination of Measles & Rubella was held at Community Health Centre(CHC),Batote.

The workshop was organized by the Directorate of Family Welfare, Mother & Child Health & Immunization (FWMCHI), Jammu under the aegis of District Immunization Officer, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Tragwal and in collaboration with the Block Medical Officer,   Dr.Gurmeet Kour.

During the Workshop, Assistant Director, FWMCHI, Dr. Poonam Sethi and Surveillance Medical Officer, World Health Organisation- National Polio Surveillance Project (WHO-NPSP) Dr. Ashiq Mir educated the Block Medical Officers, Block Monitoring Evaluation Officers, Leading Health Visitors (LHVs), Vaccinators, Health Educators and many ASHAs about the awareness and maintenance of cold chain for proper vaccination of Measles, Rubella and new Rota Virus vaccine as part of national programme for the complete elimination of Measles in India by December 2023.
