One day Women Food Security awareness camp organised at Ligri Paddar

KISHTWAR, MARCH 24: A Women Food Security awareness camp was held at Panchayat Ligri in Zone Massu of block Paddar. The event was part of a series of farmer’s awareness camps and aimed to educate progressive women farmers about the latest technical know-how for Kharif crops and the different schemes available from the department for the farming community.

During the camp, Kharif vegetable seeds were distributed to women farmers on a 100% subsidy under the Women Food Security Scheme. More than 25 progressive women farmers from village Ligri participated in the event.

Agriculture Extension Officer, Manoj Kumar Sharma spoke about soil health, KCC, organic farming and other schemes from the Agriculture Department. He also encouraged participants to welcome the upcoming Holistic Agriculture Development Program with enthusiasm.

The camp was organised under the direction of SDAO Padder, Sahil Gandotra and supervised by Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar, Amjed Hussain Mallik.
