One Day Workshop on National Deworming Day organised at Samba

SAMBA, AUGUST 03: A one-day workshop on National Deworming Day to be observed on 10th Aug, 2024 was organized at the Conference Hall, Samba, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Abhishek Sharma.

The workshop was attended by key stakeholders, including PO ICDS, CEO Education, CMO Samba, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, XEN Jal Shakti Department, DIO, District Officers of Health Department, Nodal Officers of Education Department, and the President of the Private School Union.

The focus of the meeting was to sensitize and train stakeholders on the importance of deworming and its implementation. Discussions were held on strategies for effective planning and implementation of National Deworming Day (NDD) in Samba District.

At the outset, CMO Dr. Vidhi Bhatial welcomed the participants and introduced the objective of the workshop. She also delivered a keynote address on the importance of deworming and its impact on public health.

A PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Dr. Sandeep Rangroo, District Nodal Officer, covering key points such as the importance and benefits of deworming, implementation strategies for NDD, and the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in the deworming program.

Participants shared their experiences and discussed any challenges faced during the implementation of the deworming program.

At the end of the workshop, CMO Dr. Vidhi Bhatial summarized the key takeaways and action points, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and cooperation.
