Only Congress can fulfill wishes, aspirations of J&K people: Hari Singh, Udhay Chib

Urges Govt to address problems being faced by Nardani people

JAMMU, Nov 6: Hari Singh Chib, Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, today asserted that the Congress party is the only party that can fulfill the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

While addressing a workers meeting at Nardani Ward of Panchayat Raipur 2nd falling in Jammu North Assembly Segment, Chib said that the Congress Party has a long history of serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir and has always stood by them through thick and thin. He added that the party has a clear-cut vision for the equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir and is committed to working for the welfare of all sections of society.

During the meeting, Uday Bhanu Chib, former President Youth Congress Jammu and Kashmir, Fayaz Diwan Vice President Youth Congress, Som Nath Sharma Block President Pata Paloura, Parshotam Singh President BCC Bhalwal, Kamal Singh, Jung Bahadur Singh, Tarun Vaid, Om Parkash, Ramesh Chander, Kaka Ram, Panches Harbans Lal, Kamal Singh, Asha Ram, Sansar Chand, Pappu, Jaswant Singh, Capt Khushi Ram Bhagat, Harbans Lal, Dev Raj, Virender Mehta, Kulbinder Singh, Jyoti Kumar, Kailash Singh, Tarsem Kumar, Hans Raj, Parveen Akhtar and others were present.

At the beginning of the meeting, the party workers apprised the senior functionaries of the Congress Party about the hardships being faced by the people of the area which included scarcity of drinking water, shortage of ration supply, and dilapidated condition of roads in the area.

The senior Congress leader Hari Singh Chib immediately brought the matter to the notice of the Chief Engineer of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department requesting for early restoration of the water supply. He also demanded early repair of the damaged overhead tank at Nardani, as maximum water currently leaks from it, resulting in a scarcity of drinking water.

Chib also urged the authorities concerned to restore the road from Nardani Morh to Bajion by blacktopping the aforesaid road.

With regard to the issues of ration shortage and renewal of ration cards, Chib urged the Food, Consumer Affairs, and Civil Supplies Department to provide regular supply of ration and hold regular camps at Nardani to renew ration cards. Presently, ration distribution and renewal of ration cards are done at Kot, which is far away and very difficult for the people of Nardani to reach there.

Uday Bhanu Chib criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its failure to deliver on its promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the BJP has only brought division and hatred to the region and has done nothing to improve the lives of the people.

Uday Chib appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the hands of Rahul Gandhi and support the Congress party in the upcoming elections and give the party a chance to serve them once again. He said that the Congress party is the only party that can bring peace, prosperity, and development to Jammu and Kashmir.
