BJP staunch worker Surjit Singh Manhas joins Congress

JAMMU: Uday Bhanu Chib,  former President of Youth Congress Jammu and Kashmir and currently National General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) along with Hari Singh Chib,  Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today reiterated that the Congress Party stands as the singular force capable of effectively addressing the issues confronting the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The senior Congress leaders were speaking during a public meeting held at Jammu North Assembly Segment. Smt Rajni Bala,  former Councillor also presented in the meeting.

Addressing a gathering,  Uday Bhanu Chib highlighted the problems faced by the general public in the absence of an elected government in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that officers at the helm of affairs are indifferent to the issues faced by the common people,  who are struggling with irregular power and water supply despite the installation of smart meters and the payment of hefty power bills. He said that this situation has significantly impacted the daily lives of citizens, exacerbating their struggles and adversely affecting their overall quality of life.

Uday Bhanu Chib emphasized the urgent need for administrative accountability and responsiveness to alleviate these pressing concerns and improve essential service delivery. He said that people is the better judge and they will give suitable reply to BJP in the ensuing Assembly polls in J&K as like they gave in the recently conducted Lok Sabha polls to BJP.

Hari Singh Chib,  in his address,  emphasized that the Congress Party,  renowned for its inclusive policies and steadfast leadership,  remains committed to provide sustainable solutions to these pressing issues.

“In these challenging times,  it is abundantly clear that the Congress Party alone possesses the vision and dedication required to understand and tackle the genuine concerns of our people, ” he said.

Hari Singh Chib called upon people of North Assembly segment to support the Congress in the upcoming Assembly elections,  stressing the need for a responsive and accountable government that prioritizes the welfare of every citizen.

The senior Congress leader Rajni Bala also expressed her concern over the plight of women under the current BJP rule at the Centre. She urged women to come forward and support the Congress party in the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The senior Congress leaders appealed to the public to support the Congress party in the forthcoming elections,  promising a government that would be attentive to the needs and issues of the people.

During the event,  Surjit Singh Manhas,  a staunch BJP worker,  along with his supporters,  joined the Congress party,  pledging their support on the condition that the Congress fields a local candidate in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Hari Singh Chib said that joining of Surjit Singh Manhas will strengthen the base of Party. He assured Manhas that he would convey his concerns to the party high command.
