Organ Donation Awareness programme in  SAM Nursing College Beerwah

Jammu And Kashmir State Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) organized an Awareness Programme for faculty, nursing and paramedical students of  Syed Ali Memorial College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences Beerwah in district Budgam.

Dr Murtaza Bukhari, Chairman, Syed Ali Memorial Trust welcomed SOTTO J&K team. He stressed the need for organ donation in  society.

 Joint Director, SOTTO J&K, Dr Sanjeev Puri gave a presentation on Human Organ Donation and Transplantation, thereby clarifying various myths associated with it. He said that Cadaveric Organ donation can save many lives.

Irfan Ahmed, Transplant Coordinator, SOTTO J&K explained the role of SOTTO in organ donation and transplantation. He also described steps to register in Organ Donation Pledge Drive to become become an organ donor.

Various speakers from BSc Nursing of the college, who inspired students for organ pledging with their orations were Junaid Mustafa, Sameera Akhtar and Farhat Maqbool. A vote of thanks was presented by Sameena Nazir.The event was anchored by Arooj, a GNM student.
