Orientation session held for FTK Trainees, members of Pani Samities at Jammu
JAMMU, June 27: A hand holding session for FTK Trainees and members of Paani Samities on JJM water quality and its testing was organised by Jal Shakti (PHE) District Jammu here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa.
During the session, IEC expert, J&K UT Sajjal Srivastva elaborately discussed the idea behind Jal Jeevan mission and its objectives. He laid emphasis on awareness related to importance of clean and safe water.
Moreover, he encouraged the members of Paani Samities and FTK trainees to put in extra efforts to create awareness among the masses regarding rain water harvesting and grey water management.
After his presentation, he responded to the queries of the attendees. A demonstration of water testing by the experts was also presented during the workshop.
Appreciation certificates for members of Paani Samiti and laboratory staff for their active contribution in implementation of Jal Jeevan mission activities during 2021-23 were also distributed.
