Orientation training imparted to YUVA Doots of Jammu District
JAMMU, APRIL 19: District Employment & Counselling Centre imparted one-day training to the nominated YUVA Doots of Jammu district under Mission YUVA in two batches on 17th and 19th April 2025.
The training sessions were held at the Employment Complex Toph Sherkhania, with the objective of equipping YUVA Doots with a comprehensive understanding of the mission’s goals, framework, and support systems.
The programme commenced with an introductory session on the vision and strategy of Mission YUVA, delivered by Assistant Director Employment Mukhlis Ali.
The keynote address was presented by Additional District Development Commissioner Sher Singh, who emphasised the crucial role of youth-driven entrepreneurship in local economic growth and development.
During the training, the participants were sensitised about the institutional business support mechanisms including Small Business Development Units and Business Help Desks. They were also familiarised with their role and responsibilities as YUVA Doots and briefed on insights from the baseline survey highlighting entrepreneurial potential across the district.
The sessions further included guidance on IEC strategies, with a focus on using social media, success stories and local awareness campaigns to promote the objectives of the mission.
In the post-lunch session, trainees were provided with practical knowledge of the operational guidelines of Mission YUVA. This included instructions on credit linkages, interest subvention schemes, and the online application process. A hands-on demonstration of the Mission YUVA Portal was also conducted to facilitate real-time application training.
The day concluded with a wrap-up session, open interaction and concluding remarks by ADDC Jammu. The training witnessed enthusiastic participation and active engagement by all attendees.
The district administration appreciated the contributions of all stakeholders and expressed confidence that the trained YUVA Doots will now act as effective motivators and facilitators at the grassroots level, ensuring smooth implementation of Mission YUVA across Jammu district.
