Over 10,000 BJP workers will undertake Gaon Chalo Abhiyan from Feb 08: Ravinder Raina
Ravinder Raina, President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu Kashmir, while addressing a press conference at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, informed that more than ten thousand (10,000) workers of the party will reach different rural and urban areas of the UT under “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” from February 08 to 10, this month. These party workers will spend a minimum of 24 hours in a particular village or municipal ward to interact with the local residents.
Raina was flanked by BJP Vice President & Programme Incharge Pawan Khajuria, former minister & NEM Priya Sethi, Programme Co-Incharge & senior leader Sanjay Baru, and Media Relations Department co-incharge Balbir Ram Rattan.
Ravinder Raina said that the BJP is undertaking a country-wide mega campaign “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” and in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, it will be undertaken from February 08 to 10, this month, and cover every village in rural and every ward in urban areas of the UT.
For the successful conduct of this mega exercise, the party is deputing its MPs, former ministers, state office bearers, Ex MPs, Ex MLAs and MLCs, Ex BDC Chairpersons, sitting DDC Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons, former VCs, DDC Members, District Office Bearers, Morcha teams, Sarpanches, Panches, he told.
Ravinder Raina further said that the objective of this 3-day Abhiyan is to meet the local residents, the beneficiaries of Modi government’s schemes, leaders of non-BJP parties, Self Help Groups, NGOs, retired employees, the business community, and other prominent personalities of a particular village or ward. The party activists visiting the village or ward, will seek feedback about the central government welfare schemes, and their impact on the lives of the poor, needy people and compile suggestions, if any, for further implementation of the schemes. They will also place the BJP’s report card before the people and make them aware of the need to support the BJP in the upcoming elections so that Narendra Modi assumes the chair of PM for the third consecutive term and further speed up the welfare schemes.
