Over 150 commercial drivers, conductors screened in Poonch

POONCH, JANUARY 16: On the 5th Day of National Road Safety Week, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Poonch, in collaboration with the Health Department, today organised a free Medical and Eye checkup camp for commercial Drivers and Conductors in Bus Stand Poonch.

The camp was inaugurated by ARTO, Basharat Mahmood in presence of Motor Vehicle Inspector Gurmeet Singh Bali, team of expert doctors and MVD Department, Traffic department representatives of various transport Unions remained present.

On the occasion, over 150 commercial drivers, conductors were screened for blood pressure and eye test by the team of expert doctors.

An awareness programme/ counselling session was also oragnised for commercial drivers by MVD Poonch.

On the occasion, the ARTO appealed to people to follow road safety tips and traffic rules to minimize accidents to save precious lives.
