Pak intruder killed by BSF along international boundary in Punjab’s Tarn Taran
Punjab [India], August 13 (ANI): Border Security Force (BSF) troops killed a Pakistani intruder along the international boundary in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, a statement said on Tuesday.
The infiltrator was spotted crossing the international boundary surreptitiously near Dal village on August 12 evening.
The development came ahead of the Independence Day celebrations on Thursday.
According to Public Relations Officer, BSF, “On August 12, during the night hours at about 8:36 pm, alert BSF troops on duty observed suspicious movement of a Pakistani intruder, who surreptitiously crossed the IB (International Boundary) and started approaching towards the border security fence, taking advantage of the darkness, in the border area falling near Village Dal of district Tarn Taran.”
“Attentive BSF troops immediately challenged the intruder but he did not stop and continued his advance towards the border security fence. Sensing imminent danger and keeping in view the high alert situation on the border in the wake of forthcoming independence day, the troops on duty fired upon the advancing intruder, neutralising him on the spot,” the PRO added.
The statement added that the vigilant and dutiful BSF troops once again successfully foiled the nefarious intentions of the cross-border terror syndicate to carry out this infiltration bid into Indian territory from across the border, despite being on high alert on the occasion of Independence Day.
