Parent Teacher Interaction Programme held at Madan Mohan Malviya Bhawan, Central University of Jammu

29 August 2024:The Department of Education Studies organised an Orientation Programme for the parents of newly admitted students in Four Year Integrated B.A..B.Ed. Programme Central University of Jammu. The programme was primarily a get-together with students and their parents who came across India for admission at CUJ. The event saw a large turnout, with families arriving from various parts of the country, reflecting the national appeal and reputation of the institution. For many parents, this was their first visit to the CUJ, and they were keen to ensure that their children have rightly chosen the CUJ for their future.

Prof. Asit Mantry, Head of the Department welcomed the parents and appealed to them to support the teachers for the all-round development of their children. He further said that the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain is always ready to provide all types of support and guidance for the academic growth of the students. Prof. Mantry added that the CUJ is growing day and night due to the dynamic leadership of Prof. Sanjeev Jain; and the support of the entire academic and administrative team. He emphasized the department’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive and enriching educational experience. He further informed the parents about the university’s unwavering commitment to providing a high-quality education in a supportive and conducive learning environment. The faculty, comprising seasoned educators and experts in various fields, plays a pivotal role in this commitment. The parents were assured that their children would be guided by these experienced professionals, who are dedicated to nurturing both the academic and personal growth of every student. In addition to discussing the academic aspects, Prof Mantry spoke about the importance of parental involvement. Some parents also expressed their feelings in a very positive manner and accepted that their decision was right to send their children to CUJ.

The faculty members – Prof. J.N. Baliya, Prof. Ritu Bakshi, Dr. Kiran, Dr. Amna, Dr. Ravi Vanguri, Dr. Yad Ram, Dr. Mohan Galgotra, Dr. Aarushi, Dr. Disha Sharma, Dr. Shivali Khajuria and Dr. Arvind were introduced to the parents.  In the end, the parents were thanked and requested to be in regular contact with the teachers and the Department.
