Parliament Winter Session: Lok Sabha adjourned till 12 noon
New Delhi [India], December 9 (ANI): The Lok Sabha proceedings have been adjourned until 12 noon on Monday after the opposition MPs began raising different matters during the Question Hour.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed objection to the opposition members and adjourned the House till 12 noon.
Meanwhile, Opposition MPs including Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi held a protest over the Adani matter, at the Parliament premises.
Rahul Gandhi joined Opposition MPs in their protest over the Adani matter. Memers of the Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party did not participate in this protest.
Earlier today, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said that the party has submitted repeated letters to the Speaker to initiate privilege against MP Nishikant Dubey.
“So Congress party has submitted repeated letters to the Hon’ble Speaker to initiate privilege against MP Nishikant Dubey. Yet all our pleas have been ignored and the BJP MP is allowed to continue with his rants. Even today his name is listed. Clearly the aim of the BJP is to derail the Indian Parliament,” Gogoi posted on X.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said that the Opposition is trying to suppress his voice and their own international connections.
“The country has the right to know about the relation between Congress, Opposition parties and international powers. It is the right of a Member of Parliament to raise this issue in the House. But the Opposition is trying to suppress my voice and their (Opposition) international connections. People like Soros who want to divide the country and support Khalistan…Their nexus…Congress party is stuck,” Dubey said.
The first session of the winter Parliament commenced on November 25, with both Houses getting adjourned fairly early due to disruptions. The winter session will go on till December 20.
