PD&MD organises training program on Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme dashboard
JAMMU, AUGUST 10: Planning Development & Monitoring Department (PD&MD) today organized training of field functionaries from Panchayats, Blocks and Districts on Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP) dashboard launched recently by Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta.
Addressing the participants during the training program, Secretary, PD&MD, Dr. Raghav Langer, said that APDP is one of the priority and ambitious areas of the Government. He added that APDP Dashboard (https://pdmd.jk.gov.in/abdp) has been created with an aim to monitor the progress of 285 Aspirational Panchayats besides it will also monitor all the 4291 Panchayats of the J&K including 1180 Border Area Panchayats of J&K.
The Secretary informed participants about the unique features of the dashboard prepared by the IT department J&K. He asked the participants that data quality has to be maintained in order to arrive at accurate results which shall match with ground situation.
He made out that each of the Panchayat is evaluated across 9 sectors having 100 indicators. He informed that the dashboard has a feature to filter top and bottom Panchayats in each district across different sectors. It was also brought out that the data entry for each month has to be done at the Panchayat level which has to be validated at Block and authenticated at District level.
The Secretary stressed on importance of data on real time basis for achievement of desired goals for the Aspirational Panchayats. More capacity building programme needs to be done at district level for sensitization of officers and officials associated with population of data of Aspirational Panchayats.
Ajeet Singh, Consultant, JaKeGA, IT Department, J&K was resource person who imparted training to all participants. He explained in depth about the usage of dashboard which included login, and populating indicator values.
Detailed presentation on requirements at panchayat level, Block level and district level were explained. Further, all the features which like Aspirational Panchayat data, all Panchayats data, Border Panchayats data, Border Aspirational Panchayats data, uploading of work plan schedules and progress, documentation of best practices, among others were elaborated in detail.
During the program, a question-answers session was also held in which all the queries raised by the Districts were cleared by the IT team and PD&MD team. It was also re-iterated that further trainings on the subject shall be undertaken by the IT Department in consultation with the Districts in future as per requirement.
The training session was attended by Director General, Economics & Statistics, J&K, Satvir Kour Sudan; Director General, PFD, Shahzada Bilal Ahmad; Director General, PMCE, Parvaiz Sajad Kakroo; representatives from IT Department, representatives from Rural Development Department, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Planning Officers, Nodal officers of ABDP, Block Development Officers and other concerned officers.
