Peaceful voting in Baramulla; Sopore voter turnout jumps to 44% from 4% in 2019, says J&K CEO P K Pole

Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla region experienced a peaceful and orderly voting process during the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, according to a report by P K Pole, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Jammu and Kashmir.

Amidst this democratic exercise, the Sopore segment emerged as a beacon of remarkable progress, witnessing an unprecedented surge in voter turnout. CEO P K Pole confirmed that voter participation in Sopore soared to an impressive 44 percent during the Lok Sabha elections, marking a stark increase from the mere 4 percent recorded in 2019.
