“People are going to vote for Kangana and BJP,” says Kangana Ranaut’s father Amardeep Ranaut
Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], June 1 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Kangana Ranaut’s father, Amardeep Ranaut, expressed confidence in her winning the 2024 general elections. He also took a jibe at the opposition’s INDIA alliance.
He urged voters to cast their ballots for the BJP and Kangana to strengthen Prime Minister Modi’s efforts in advancing the country’s development.
After casting his vote, Amardeep Ranaut said, “It feels like Diwali. Everyone has arrived with great enthusiasm, and all the people are going to vote for the BJP by pressing the lotus button.”
Speaking about Kangana’s political career, he remarked, “Whatever work she decides to do, she does it with complete focus, honesty, and dedication. I am confident she will approach this role with the same commitment.”
Addressing potential challenges to Kangana’s campaign in Mandi, he asserted, “There is no challenge from anyone. The people of Mandi want their daughter Kangana, and we have received very positive responses wherever we have been.”
Taking a jibe at the INDIA alliance, Ranaut stated, “INDIA alliance lacks both a leader and a dedicated policy, and their nervousness can be easily spotted. Congress won’t even secure 40 seats.”
Meanwhile, he also criticized Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his remarks on PM Modi’s three-day meditation and said, “Kharge Ji lacks understanding of our religion and Sanatan Dharma, he doesn’t have any knowledge about it. It’s PM Modi who possesses all knowledge about religion, Sanatan Dharma, and the ‘shastras.’ India is safe in Modiji’s hands.”
He reiterated his appeal to voters to support the BJP and strengthen PM Modi’s leadership to ensure the country’s progress.
The Mandi constituency is witnessing a high-profile contest as actor Kangana Ranaut, making her foray into politics, will be looking forward to wresting the seat from the Congress party.
The Mandi constituency holds symbolic significance for the Congress, as it is considered a bastion of the Virbhadra family. The seat is currently held by Pratibha Devi Singh, the late leader’s widow. She wrested the seat for the Congress in the by-election that was held following the demise of then-BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma.
For the 2024 Lok Sabha election, Congress has announced Himachal Pradesh Minister and Virbhadra Singh’s son Vikramaditya Singh as the party’s candidate for the seat, spicing up the battle with two big names entering the fray.
