People fed up with BJP, moving towards NC, says Sadhotra, Rattan Lal
Retd SSP Jeevan Sharma joins NC
Jammu, July 24: Jeevan Sharma, retired Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) from J&K, and brother of Purnima Sharma, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Mayor, today joined National Conference during a function held at Party headquarters, Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu.
Jeevan Sharma joined the party in presence of former minister and additional general secretary of the J&K National Conference, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Provincial president of the party for Jammu Division, Rattan Lal Gupta, former minister and party’s Central Zone president Babu Ram Paul, district president for Jammu Urban, Chander Mohan Sharma and several other senior and middle rung leaders of the party.
Former Minister Ajay Sadhotra welcomed Jeevan Sharma into the party fold and hoped that with his support the party will be strengthened in Jammu. He emphasized the growing disillusionment of the people with the BJP’s governance, stating, “The people are fed up with the BJP’s unfulfilled promises and lack of concrete action. They are now turning towards the National Conference, seeing it as the only party capable of addressing their concerns and aspirations.”
Rattan Lal Gupta while welcoming Jeevan Sharma highlighted the decline in BJP’s popularity in Jammu and Kashmir. “The popularity graph of the BJP is steadily declining. The voting share of the BJP has significantly come down in the recently conducted Lok Sabha polls. It is evident that people are losing faith in the BJP and are looking for a reliable alternative. The National Conference stands as the only party with a proven track record of serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Babu Rampal also addressed the gathering, reiterating the National Conference’s commitment to working for the betterment of the state. “The NC has always been at the forefront of addressing the issues faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are dedicated to ensuring peace, stability, and development in the region.”
Jeevan Sharma expressed his confidence in the leadership of the National Conference, stating, “Only the NC can bring the people of Jammu and Kashmir out of the current grim situation. I am committed to following the path shown by Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, who have always prioritized the welfare and development of the region.” He pledged to work tirelessly for the upliftment of National Conference and to address the grievances of J&K people effectively.
