“People of J&K want double engine govt under leadership of PM Modi”: MP CM Mohan Yadav
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 23 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has expressed his hope in the BJP getting a good response in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly poll saying people want to have a double engine government with the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to ANI, CM Yadav said on Monday, “Assembly elections are ongoing and I held two public meetings in Samba district of Jammu recently. I am satisfied that with the kind of atmosphere of election that has formed, especially after the abrogation of Article 370, under the leadership of PM Modi, Jammu and Kashmir is eager to match steps with the rest of the nation.”
“Public response is very good. People believe that 75 years were spoiled and it was a bad time. They want to have a double engine government with BJP, under the leadership of PM Modi… The way the central government is moving forward taking the states alongside is creating new records in development and we will properly utilise this present time,” CM said.
The elections for the 90 seats of Jammu and Kashmir assembly are being held in three phases. The first phase of voting took place on September 18 with a voter turnout of 61.13 per cent registered across 24 constituencies in seven districts, as per the Election Commission.

The Chief Minister further spoke about the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand and said that he would be visiting there today in view of the poll.
“Elections will be held in Jharkhand and Maharashtra later. So, I am visiting Jharkhand. The nature of Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand are quite similar…The BJP’s parivartan yatra that is being taken out there and it is getting a very good response from the public. Though the election dates are yet to be announced, I hope that Jharkhand will vote for BJP once again for development,” he added.
