People pay tribute to MP CM’s father Poonamchand Yadav on his demise in Ujjain

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 4 (ANI): Scores of people flocked to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s residence in Ujjain on Wednesday and paid tribute to the CM’s father Poonamchand Yadav, who passed away on Tuesday (September 3), due to prolonged illness.

The Chief Minister was also present on the occasion. The last rites will be performed near the Bhukhi Mata temple on the banks of the Shipra river in Ujjain today.

In a post on X, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan wrote, “I reached Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s residence in Ujjain and paid tribute to his father Poonamchand Yadav. May God grant his soul a place in His lotus feet. Om Shanti!”

MP Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya also posted on X: “On the demise of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s father Poonamchand Yadav ji, I reached Ujjain today and paid tribute to him. Babuji, who has been providing guidance and support since our early days of Rashtra Seva Sankalp till now, remained simple and easy going. While moving on the path of struggle, he instilled the values to family. His deeds reflected success.”

“Today, even though Babuji is not physically present among us, his blessings and affection will always be with us. I pray to Baba Mahakal to give a place to the departed soul at His lotus feet and provide strength to the family in this hour of grief. Humble tribute! He will always be in our memories and will be our guide,” Vijayvargiya further wrote.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president VD Sharma also expressed his condolences and called the demise of CM’s father an irreparable loss to them.

“CM Mohan Yadav’s father Poonamchand Yadav passed away yesterday. He had made his son CM Mohan Yadav so strong and capable. The demise of the CM’s father is an irreparable loss to all of us. I express my condolences and pray to God to give strength to the CM and his family to deal with this loss,” Sharma told ANI.
