People’s miseries increased manifold amidst Governance void: Rattan Lal
Seeks adequate stock of essentials in far flung areas before snowfall
UDHAMPUR, (Tikri) NOV 30: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Jammu has reiterated that the common people of J&K are leading a miserable life due to the absence of a popular government. He emphasized upon the dire need to hold Assembly elections in J&K at the earliest in order to do away with the miseries thrust upon the people by the proxy Govt of BJP in J&K.
He expressed this while interacting with the prominent party functionaries of Udhampur- Reasi Zone at Tikri where One Day Delegate Convention is scheduled to be held on 3rd December, 2023 which will be addressed by Party Vice President and former Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Jenab Omar Abdullah. Mr Gupta visited Tikri to take stock of the preprations.
Prominent functionaries who were present on the occasion, Provincial Secretary Sheikh Bashir Sb, Zonal President Udhampur-Reasi Zone Jb Abdul Gani Malik Sb, District President Reasi Babu Jagjeevan Lal, Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell, District President Udhampur Urban Sunil Verma, Ram Parshotam Sharma District President Udhampur Rural, Additional Spokesperson Th Yashu Vardhan Singh, VP Rakesh Singh Raka, District Secretary Pavitar Singh, Akash Verma, Manmohan Verma, Capt Balbir Singh, Channa Ram Sethi, Sajad Ahmed, Sanjay Verma and Mir Qasim were present.
The party functionaries led by Zonal President and former minister Abdul Gani Malik, apprised to the Provincial President Rattan Lal Gupta about the problems being faced by the people of the remote areas of District Udhampur and Reasi like Dudu, Basantgarh, Latti, Pancheri, Reasi’s Gulab Garh, Mahore and several others araes in the region.
He asserted that in absence of the popular government, the authorities in different departments had adopted a non serious approach with nobody ready to listen to the woes of the people. He informed the Provincial President that with the onset of winter the Administration has failed to put in place adequate stocks of essentials in advance.
Rattan Lal Gupta, after giving a keen and patient hearing to the party functionaries castigated the Govt for not making pre-winter arrangements in the region. He said that it is the duty of the J&K Administration to ensure that adequate stock of essential commodities in the far flung areas of the region which remain cut off from the rest of the nation after winter snowfall in the region. He said that if the administration still fails to do so it could prove fatal for the people of these remote areas. He asked the authorities concerned in the Udhampur Administration to shun their lackadaisical attitude and initiate appropriate measures for making available the essential commodities to the people in the areas prone to cut-off in winter season before it is too late.
Meanwhile, the senior NC leader asked the party functionaries to further strengthen the party by remaining present among the people at the grass roots level to address their genuine concerns.
