Phulwari Ramban receives first new-born girl child
RAMBAN, OCTOBER 5: Specialized Adoption Agency (Phulwari) today received the first girl child in its Phulwari Centre Ramban.
The girl is tentatively 05 day old and is being taken care of in Phulwari run by the Social Welfare Department, Ramban under Mission Vatsalya.
Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, along with District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta, visited the Phulwari centre and took stock of the facilities available for the new member of the home in the Phulwari.
Expressing satisfaction over the facilities available in the Phulwari, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Chief Medical Officer, Ramban to ensure regular medical checkup of the girl child and also ensure timely vaccination of children.
Issuing directions to the staff of Phulwari for taking proper care of the children, Mussarat Islam asked the concerned to monitor and ensure round-the-clock facilities for the girl child. Phulwari centre is for the children in the age group of 0 to 6 years who are surrendered, abandoned or are orphans etc, he added.
The District Social Welfare Officer apprised that the centre is fully equipped with the capacity of 10 baby children having state-of-the-art childcare facilities.
Among others, Chairperson Child Welfare Committee, CWC member Ramban, Manager-cum-Coordinator Phulwari and Superintendent Parisha were present on the occasion.
