Pledge Ceremony organized by MVD Doda to promote Road Safety norms among Road users
DODA, JANUARY 17 An impactful oath ceremony and awareness program was today organised to mark the celebration of national traffic safety month at Khellani Tunnel.
The event was organized on the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh and under the supervision of ARTO, Rajesh Gupta. The event aimed at instilling a profound sense of road safety among the drivers and workers of the construction giant APCO. As part of the ongoing celebration of National Traffic Safety Month 2024, the ARTO, in a compelling session, enlightened the attendees on the critical aspects of safe driving, emphasizing the importance of being heroes on the road by prioritizing pedestrian safety.
The program delved into indispensable safety measures for driving in hilly areas, recognizing the unique challenges posed by such terrains. ARTO Doda elucidated key points, guiding drivers on navigating the intricacies of hilly roads. These measures included understanding the terrain, maintaining optimal speed limits, and exercising caution on sharp turns. The session underscored the significance of vehicle maintenance for optimal functionality, ensuring safer journeys through challenging landscapes.
A notable feature of the event was the pledge ceremony, meticulously organized by the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Doda. This ceremony united officers and officials alongside the drivers of the construction company operating in the Khellani Tunnel.
