PM Modi meditates at Vivekananda rock memorial for the upliftment of Bharat: BJP’s CR Kesavan
Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], May 31 (ANI): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi meditates at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari, BJP leader CR Kesavan said that PM Modi’s meditation is not for personal salvation but for the upliftment of India.
“Currently, PM Modi is meditating and praying at the divine feet of our Bharat Mata at Kanyakumari in the Vivekananda rock memorial. PM Modi is meditating and praying not for personal salvation but for the uplifting of Bharat,” Kesavan said.
Kesavan emphasised that PM Modi is following in the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda, making this meditation a milestone event in Indian history.
“PM Modi following in the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda to meditate will be a milestone event in our history, and on June 1st, after he completes 45 hours of meditation, he will come out with a renewed resolve and faith to serve the people of Bharat,” Kesavan said.
He also showed confidence in PM Modi returning for a third term in office.
“We are very sure that on June 4th, with the blessings of Swami Vivekananda and blessings of the people of Bharat, he will continue his historic journey to lead Bharat in the Kartavya kaal to become a viksit Bharat,” Kesavan said.
The Vivekananda Rock Memorial, where PM Modi is meditating, stands as a symbol of national unity and inspiration. Recalling the significance of the location, Kesavan narrated how in the 1890s, Swami Vivekananda, distressed by the poverty and lack of self-confidence among Indians under British rule, sought answers at this very rock. From December 25th to December 27th, 1892, Vivekananda prayed and found enlightenment and a path forward.
“He came to the same rock and prayed for three days from December 25th to December 27th, 1892. There he said that he found enlightenment and a path,” Kesavan said.
Kesavan noted that Swami Vivekananda believed in India’s immense spiritual potential to uplift its masses and empower its youth, thereby advancing human civilization.
Kesavan drew parallels between Vivekananda and PM Modi, highlighting that both share the name Narendra and are deeply inspired by similar ideals and said that the life and mission of Swami Vivekananda inspired PM Modi.
“PM Narendra Modi not only shares the name Narendra, which was also the name of Vivekananda; the life and mission of Vivekananda inspired PM Modi, and over the last 10 years, you could see the impact of that in PM Modi’s actions,” Kesavan said.
“Vivekananda had said that the youth was a strong link between the glorious past and the grand future. PM Modi classes our youth, the Amrit Peedhi. PM Modi knows that for Viksit Bharat, the youth will be the driving energy force,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi is in Kanniyakumari on a spiritual visit. He is meditating at the Dhyan Mandapam, the place where revered Hindu philosopher Swami Vivekananda is believed to have had a divine vision about ‘Bharat Mata’. He will continue his meditation till June 1.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday offered prayers at Bhagavathy Amman Temple in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, after the culmination of the Lok Sabha election campaign.
The Prime Minister is known to undertake spiritual journeys at the end of election campaigns. In line with this, he will reach Kanyakumari on May 30 and stay there till June 1. In 2019, he visited Kedarnath, and in 2014, he visited Shivaji’s Pratapgarh.
The election for 543 Lok Sabha seats is being held in seven phases starting April 19. The counting of the votes will be held on June 4.
