PM Modi working with dedication to improve lives of people: Nadda

New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to improve the lives of people, especially Dalits, youngsters and women, BJP president J P Nadda said on Tuesday, highlighting the key achievements of the NDA government in the first 100 days of its third term.

Addressing an event organised at the BJP headquarters here to mark Modi’s 74th birthday, Nadda described the prime minister as a “great personality”.

The prime minister has dedicated his life to serving the country and humanity, the BJP chief said, adding that he is changing the lives of people and has turned his resolve into an achievement.

Nadda inaugurated a blood donation camp under ‘Seva Pakhwada’ and an exhibition on the life of the prime minister.

“We celebrate the birthday of such a great personality as Seva Diwas,” he said, wishing a long life to Modi on his birthday.

The Centre’s approval of the health coverage for all individuals aged 70 years and above under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, the Unified Pension Scheme and 12 new smart city projects were among the key decisions that Nadda listed while highlighting the Modi government’s achievements.

“Many revolutionary works have been done in the first 100 days of the Modi government 3.0. An allocation of Rs 3 lakh crore was approved to further improve the infrastructure and construction of about 62,500 km of all-weather rural roads to connect 25,000 villages has begun,” he added.

The BJP chief said approval was given to build three crore houses for the poor under the PM Awas Yojana within 100 days of the Modi government’s third term.

“The 17th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has also been released. Keeping in mind the interests of the farmers, the amount of minimum support price has also been increased,” he said.

During this period, 15 new Vande Bharat trains have started operating, Nadda said. “Also, approval has been given to build eight national high-speed road corridors and as many new broad-gauge railway lines.”

All Central government departments and Union ministers will present report cards before the people, apprising them of the work done in the first 100 days, the BJP chief said, adding the party would also take the works of the Modi government in the third term to the people.
