PM Modi’s Leadership has catapult India to the Centre Stage of World Affairs-Khera
Shiv Khera mesmerizes audience with his thought Provoking lecture at JU
Jammu, February 28- ShivKhera, popular motivational speaker and bestselling author of books like “You Can Win” and “Living With Honour delivered a mesmerizing lecture on ‘ Attitude, Leadership, Motivation & Values’ organised by University of Jammu at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium under Amrit Kaal Trans-Disciplinary lecture Series on Tuesday.
Khera relayed to the audience the fact that we don’t have handicaps in life but are stuck in it because of our bad attitude. “There are no business problems, only people problems. When a person says, ‘I cannot do it,’ he either means ‘I don’t know how to do it,’ which is a technical knowledge-related problem, or ‘I don’t want to do it,’ which is attitudinal or value-related,’ he said.
He said that he is deeply impressed by the quote of Reinhold Niebuhr, Lutheran theologian (1892–1971) “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” He emphasized on planning and making appointments one week in advance and that is a mantra to remain ahead of others.
He tried to draw a line while explaining the difference between making money is criminal and earning money as honesty signifying thereby that money earned through fair means did, in fact, bring happiness. He asserted that when it comes to emotional strength, a positive attitude and resilience keep us from drowning. He exuded that a healthy body is a necessary prerequisite and in that endeavours, everyone should focus on physical strength and that should never be ignored. Individuals, who live by well laid design and take charge of their own circumstances are bound to lead a life filled with happiness and well being whereas those who life lived by default is marred with guilt, remorse and resentment.
Khera also mentioned that in this fast moving world, technology and most importantly ideas were getting obsolete almost on a daily basis. “This can either be seen as a problem or an opportunity that can be exploited. Even in this era of rapid transitions, people skills, persuasion skills and skills of prioritisation hold their ground as immovable constants and the one who masters them is destined to great achievements in life.”He also spoke about the new leader position that India has attained under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi. Citing the example of Ukraine he said that the citizens holding Tri-Colour were given a safe passage and also brought them safety and honour.
“Taking a dig at the neighbouring Country, he jokingly remarked that even their citizens based on Ukraine were also seen holding the Tri-Colour to get safe passage.”Speaking on the occasion, Prof Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu said that he hopes that the student and the University fraternity will benefit from the life lessons enumerated from his thought provoking lecture.
The Vice-Chancellor also quoted examples of leadership and value systems by drawing comparative in the present day era with the epic Mahabharata. Later speaking to the media, Vice-Chancellor said that the University of Jammu is inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call for nation progress under ‘Amrit Kaal’ and shall continue to invite eminent personalities for a face to face with the students for their overall personality and their intellectual pursuits.
